1004MC & USPAP Courses

Postby Otis on Sat Feb 14, 2009 7:38 pm

Apparently GP & Annie are having problems accessing the forum - they called and asked if I could post this info.

They have the 1004MC and USPAP classes approved in Arkansas, pending in Oklahoma (which would then be subsequently accepted in Kansas & Texas) and are looking for anyone interested in taking them. You can let her know via email (not pm as they can't get access - some sort of web server problems). Annemieke@oakcrestacademy.com

I sure hope I got the addy right - LOL.

Keeping my fingers crossed that this is going to post.

Thanks, Oty!!!! I am not sure yet about the TX part but am in the process of checking this out. In the meanwhile, people can sign up on our emailing list at www.oakcrestappraisalacademy.com

Oh, and these classes mentioned above are approved for 7 hours CE.

I have no idea who this impersonator is.

Will probably not be offering any online courses anytime soon.....but I expect to look at getting set up that way sometime this spring....FWIW, I am not all that fond of the online courses, although I know they can be helpful.

Will be looking at getting approval for Missouri and Texas as soon as possible. I already have an invite to Amarillo for USPAP 7 hour and they are looking for some upgrade classes too, so I have to look at being approved in NM as well.

Greg, if you think you are having virus problems, there is a computer guy in Joplin that I recommend very highly. I know that it's a long way, but maybe I could help offset the cost by buying you a drink....

Steve ...... it is our Satellite. When we are on an aircard or (as I am now) plugged into DSL we have no problem getting on.

As far as approval for MO goes ..... does it have the same policy as KS; i.e. if it is approved in another state and the appraiser takes the class in that state, it is automatically approved in MO? I have emailed the MO Board but have no yet received an answer.
We're not being stopped by something on the outside, but by something on the inside.

I don't know the answer to that, Greg. I usually try to take my CE in KC, for obvious reasons. Usually, when it's a KS instructor, they also get approval in MO, but I don't know if it is automatic... I seem to remember something one of them said once about having to submit a course for approval.

We are going to submit for Missouri. Kansas and Texas appear to accept a class if it is approved by another state, and we are approved for Arkansas already and will hopefully get approved for Oklahoma at the March board meeting. that will give us OK TX KS and AR.........with MO in the near future (we hope).
