Edd,

Again, thanks for the kind words. Although it is rare for members of a regulatory board to participate in online forums and discussion groups, there are folks other than me making appearances. They include Oregon Doug and Brian Weaver.

After election (assuming I am successful), I have no plans to diminish my involvement in state and national affairs concerning appraisal. There will be a shift in emphasis to mass appraisal standards and qualifications, but no quitting. My intentions have been made clear to the Chair of the ASB and AQB. Even the staff folks at the ASC are aware I have no plans of fading off into the sunset.

Right now, however, I need assistance from folks across the state and nation to get elected. No amount of work, conversation, forwarding of messages or contribution is too small. The larger my group of supporters and campaign account, the better.

I'm not concerned about that so much. Lord knows we need the same kind of reasonable logic at assessor's offices all across the nation. There aren't enough appraisers to go around, but it might be a good idea to require assessors to be appraisers.

Glad to see this.

Good luck. If the thoughts of thousands of forumites could get you elected, you have already won.
Don't be a 2 bit appraiser, or soon we will all be 1 bit appraisers. 4 bits or bust.

I know "The Force" is with me and feel it often. However, as armies run on their stomachs, campaigns run on money. It's unpleasant but true. My goal is to raise $25,000.00 by the end of March. That coincides with the first Financial Report I file. Showing contributions in excess of $35,000.00 gives notice to other candidates and future contributors. Some folks on this board have demonstrated their support with dollars. I'm hoping that group increases significantly.

My website will be up soon

www.vote4frank.org

That will allow contributions by credit card. In the meantime, I'm collecting checks

Property appraiser candidates debate issues
By BOB MACPHERSON

Article published on Tuesday, March 4, 2008
NORTH REDINGTON BEACH – Pam Dubov, Ben Friedlander and Frank Gregoire participated in a debate before the Barrier Islands Governmental Council Feb. 27. All three are running in the Aug. 26 primary election for a chance to be on the ballot in November in the race for Pinellas County Property Appraiser.

FRT, I have never retired from anything in my life. It would be nice for a reporter to get a quote correct once in a while.

SIGNS!!

Postby Francois K. Gregoire on Sun Jun 29, 2008 12:25 pm

If you live in Pinellas County and believe it is time to elect a Professional as Property Appraiser for a Change, consider showing your support of Frank Gregoire with a handsome sign.

We have yard signs for your home and large signs for high traffic locations. If you would like to have this fine looking promotional piece in your yard, let me know via email or call the Campaign at 727-410-7065 and leave a message with your name, address and contact information.

Please keep an eye out for good high traffic locations too. Permission from the property owner is essential. No signs will be placed on public property or government right of way.

Thank you for your assistance.
