Like the idea that Disto's, e-mailed appraisals, digital cameras, etc., etc. are going to improve the bottom line.

They won't improve the bottom line, Steve. They allow us more time to spend with family, or more work. We pay for time, not increased profits.

I don't know about you, Ben. But, I am spending more time working now than I was back when I was pasting photographs onto reports with glue stick.

The primary lie of technology is caused by one simple fact. The work expands according to the ability or amount of time available. We do more today (for the same fee) because we can.
