Provo man pleads guilty to illegal property-flipping charges

Mr. Cloward has had several of his appraisals turned over to the state by me. He's fought his revocation and suspensions all the way through the court system. He has several staff that he mentored and are still active in the appraisal business. I'm working on it

Kitchen said he, along with Cloward, Garrett and Bolick falsely recorded down payments of hundreds of thousands of dollars at loan closings for the properties.

Sad... you can't plead any of the usual appraiser excuses in a case like this.

But... don't forget that just because he trained someone does not necessarily make that person a crook. I know an appraiser who was originally trained by one of the worst Skippies in our area. From what I can tell, he is a good appraiser now that he's on his own.
