New Look & Many Thanks to JIM PLANTE

Postby Otis on Sun Aug 24, 2008 9:09 pm

As many can see - we now have a new look and operations. We, the admins/mods, knew this was coming but, as is typical, dates changed and, if I remember correctly, there was also decision to not jump on the upgrade immediately (ver. 0.0 verses 1.9###) which I always abide by.

That said, I still think that WE owe Jim a very very bit thank you. I know for a fact that he spent most, if not all, of today (Sunday) working on the bugs of the upgrade. That, from a "programming/debugging" aspect is a very very short time span to get this up and running like it is. There are a few bugs still, but overall, I'm impressed and happy with this new look and the running of the system.

THANK YOU JIM

BTW - I left this open so that you can add your comments as well.

You're welcome. We'll get back to normal soon, and then we'll start rearranging things to take advantage of subforums and the micro-permissions we now have available.

FYI v. 3.0 has been up for a month now, and most boards aren't reporting any more than the usual problems. Since it seemed to be working well, and there were enough new features, I went ahead and switched us over.
