No Bubble to Burst

Postby Steve Owen on Mon Oct 26, 2009 4:42 pm

I'd like to go back to the "Housing Bubble is Bursting" thread and say "I told you so" to a few people. But, fact is, I didn't imagine that the general economy would be hurt as much as it was, so that would probably just generate new arguments.

f you're a beef-eating, beer-guzzling, pick-up driving resident of heartland America, there's a good chance you escaped the housing bust. But pesto-chomping, chardonnay-sipping, hybrid-driving city-slickers were probably out of luck

The bubble thread is the only thing worthwhile in the white trash forum. I used to enjoy watching Austin mop the floor with some of those eggheads and their rants years ago, I think the arrogant bubble defenders from the early days were fired from their lofty postions, correct me if that is incorrect. Even if they weren't fired, they were living in areas where they lost their asses if they owned their own home. :sarcas:

Ah, yes, SJ. But, Austin also said I was full of bull when I stated I could not see any bubble bursting in my local market (still can't).

Well Austin would never be mistaken for Dale Carnegie, he probably thinks anyone outside of his office or home town is full of bull. I do miss his rants.

Yeah, wish he'd find his way over here.
