Have you all seen these? Amazing! (The guy below looks really smug, doesn't he? Guess he has a right! Maybe that's the look of... "I can retire when I'm 35!" written all over his face!).

Amazing Technology from Japan.

Look closely at the first picture and guess what they could be...

Are they pens with cameras?

Any wild guesses? No clue yet?

Ladies and gentlemen... congratulations!
You've just looked into the future... yep that's right!
You've just seen something that will replace your PC
in the near future.

Here is how it works:
In the revolution of miniature computers, scientists have made
great developments with bluetooth technology...

This "pen sort of instrument" produces both the monitor as well as the keyboard on any flat surfaces from where you can carry out functions you would normally do on your desktop computer.

Can anyone say, "Good-bye laptops!"
Looks like our computers are out of date... again

Notice the Palm M500 in the background of the second pic? That kind of full-size virtual keyboard would be a boon to advanced cell phone/PDA users--especially if it's got a bluetooth interface.

Don't care for the virtual keyboard. I like the monitor idea, but the visibility of it would probably be subpar, at best.
I'll stick to the current crop. I like the tactile feel.

Those virtual keyboards have been out for a while. I thought about getting one back when I used a pocketPC extensively in the field.

I've since gone back to the clipboard. High tech is not always practical.

That thing look like the $7 pens I buy for signing contracts. Hell, I can't even keep ONE pen on my desk without someone bugging off with it. Ain't no way I'd be able to keep that computer around!
