Huge Arlington fixer-upper with a shady past could be yours for pittance

ARLINGTON -- For sale: 22,000-square-foot home. Four stories. Seven bedrooms. Ten bathrooms. Secluded west Arlington neighborhood.

Starting bid: $617,500.

Must add paint, roofing and at least two driveways to the five garages on both sides of the house.

Federal authorities are auctioning the former home of Arlington pharmacy owner Rakesh Jyoti Saran, who in 2006 pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit healthcare fraud, two counts of mail fraud and one count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.

Saran could not be reached for comment Monday. The Tarrant Appraisal District values the home at more than $5 million.

Where's my piggy bank? Oh. Right. We made sausage out of it. I'll wait for the next one...

wouldn't touch that one for $20k - some years back we had one of those type clowns in our area; he duped folks out of megamillions; this groups accountant/bookeeper was found in his office with a bag over his head. They owned quite a few properties, two of were mysteriously riddled with bullets......ya never know who may come looking for some payback.

think I'll just stick to the snowglobe, it's slightly more peacefull.
