Borrowed Idea - Peer Review Workshop

Postby Ter Shields on Thu Jan 01, 2009 1:31 pm

I think a good idea for 2009 is for folks to organize local peer review groups and improve your product. Most appraisers work by themselves or with a partner. There are many good ideas and practices that appraisers could discover if they would come out of their caves and try to learn from other appraisers.

I lifted the above from Tim Evans, moderator in that other site...

It is a great idea. In fact, it probably could be packaged as a course...say an afternoon with your peers. A workshop to discuss problems and practices that we can improve upon. A one day work shop could have a residential and a general segment.

Anybody wanna take the bait and run? :CP:

Subjects? could be a mixed bag or run with a specific topic - maybe even invite the banking and underwriting community

If you ever suggested that the "Vero Possemus" campaign signs had something to do with possums, you may be guilty of racist Obama jokes.

I don't know who Tim Evans is but we already have such peer review group ..... have had one for several years, in fact ..... and we use it frequently.
We're not being stopped by something on the outside, but by something on the inside.
