I know, Idiot and moron are no longer considered politically appropriate descriptions but they once were official definitions in the world of mental health.

I will go to a property tomorrow that is the 6th time I've appraised it since 2004.
I appraised it as a sale
I appraised it as a refi
I appraised it as a Bankruptcy
I appraised it as an abandoned farm once
twice
and now the third time.

It was abandoned in the winter /early spring of 2008 and FSA was anxious to sell it...real anxious, like they haven't approved the "deal" yet. But they decided despite an offer in early 2008, that it wasn't good enough and wanted it readdressed in November of 2008. I went back by which time the place is completely overgrown, the dwelling downstairs is coated in mold, the upper level has been used as a meth lab, the barns are in shambles and equipment stolen, damaged, and the place was overrunn with hunters on the day I was there.

The bank LO for this FSA backed loan didn't want to make the loan in the first place but had to or face a charge of discrimination since they were a FSA approved lender. It has without a doubt been his biggest headache.. I can't wait to see how much worse it is now than it was in the pix below (Nov 10-08) It was a very nice farm in 2004.

2004 - 2009 (the 2008 pix is above). The interior is absolute shambles. Mold, holes in the wall, leaks, baaaddd... You ought to see the stacking shed...Heck I'll post them next post

The stacking shed is where litter is stored until it can be spread on fields or sold. If you left it out in the open, it turns to a toxic goo...yak yuck. This shed was built in 2000 or 2001. The owner said he wasn't using it, so he "gave it away"...apparently one or two sheets of tin at a time.

I think I drove by that property awhile back... wondered if a strange kind of wind storm had hit that shed.

I think most idiots have a certain amount of pride and refuse to work for the government.
