18 months ago Sarah Palin was the part-time mayor of a city of 6,000 people. Now John McCain wants to put her a [72-year-old] heartbeat away from the presidency.
Executive Director of MoveOn.org Eli Pariser: “On his 72nd birthday, Senator McCain has chosen a VP based on her political currency rather than her ability to lead our country in a crisis. If John McCain wins in November, he’ll be the oldest president in U.S. history, and Sarah Palin would be a heartbeat away from being our commander in chief. It’s not only fair, but critical in this case, to ask if she’s up for the job of commander in chief. We just can’t afford a gamble like this with our future.”
Additionally, she's currently under investigation for abuse of power, which I suppose makes her a typical Republican politician, but seriously, aside from the obvious MILF factor, I think you really should think this one through a little further.

It has been disheartening to raise children who are very interested in who is good and who is bad, and who we vote for, and frustrating to have to tell them they are all bad. I'm on the good guy team now. This woman has stood up to crooked politicians of her own party. Vote McCain/Palin!

Guess we know were you get all your news...![]()
I fail to see your point. Are you implying that because I said "heartbeat away" I got my information from Move On? I believe the "heartbeat away" terminology is a fairly common reference for US VP discussions. I hate to disappoint you, but I've never been to Move On. Not once. Ever. I do have the ability to think for myself however, and the very notion that this Palin pick has sweetened you up on McCain -- after all the "inexperienced" slagging of Obama -- would be absolutely hilarious, if it weren't so pathetic. She's got nuthin'; he's got nuthin'.
It's fitting that today's press conference for this train wreck of a campaign was held at the Nutter Center.
Almost as underwhelming as Flim-flama. Unless you want to count 20 years serving as sycophant at the First Church of God Dam America as a foreign policy credential.Count me as underwhelmed.
Actually, what I have been raving about is more like the fact that she played point guard in a championship game with a broken ankle. She could not only whip that wimp Obarfa in a debate, she could probably beat his butt at basketball, too. Here's what you've all been raving about.
