Dammit, now it's doing it again. Just had a 90-second load time on this page, and a 30-second load time going to page 1.

Don't know if the FF guys can resolve this. It won't stay broke.

Okay, I just got this possible explanation for intermittent long load times from another poster on the support forum:
And, it could have nothing to do with the servers for the forums either, but inet problems out side the control of FF. I load pretty fast here, but other places - usually fast loading for me are lagged to the point of being crippled but a tracert shows about 5 jumps that all time out, which means the connection as to time out before it will try another way to connect around the server(s) that are not responding.

This can add what looks like site lag and can intermittently effect people and also explains why some people going to a forum get there quickly while others say it takes long to load.
Tracert is a small unix utility that lets you trace the route of your IP communications to see what servers your communications is going through, and how long it took to get there. This gal is most likely correct. Her analysis corresponds with what I'm seeing here.

Please run Windows Update as well as upgrade your Adobe Flash player (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/). A stack overflow is being caused by something interacting with your IE intallation.

As far as I know, we do not operate any code on our servers which would do this.

Funny no one gets the message on any other board, forum or public website. I would say Cerro is full of shit, and the phrase "as far as they know" speaks to their ignorance rather than their competence. BTW..I am fully upgraded. (so's my pc for that matter) :-)

You folks who are getting the stack overflow error: Have you got the error while browsing ANY other site besides FreeForums?

When I first click on a topic it comes up. Click okay and it does not appear again, can do anything but reappears next time I click on the forum. It started Thursday night or Friday, no sure.

I got a Viagra-for-free ad the other day, and then the penis enlarging solicitations are ubiquitous. Maybe those are what you need to attract the stack you have been looking for.

I've posted a gripe about this to the support forum. Severl other boards are complaining about the same thing, and it's only IE that does it. I'll keep you posted on progress.
