Any chance we can move this to another server, even if we have to pay? Too many times I have to give my password and then it says no unanswered threads. Navigating is a PITA.

Love,

I'd vote for TC to spell stuff for Bush. He is right about this thing dropping off periodically and inconveniently though. But golly, pay to read other guys' bitchs? I don't know.

I am getting a periodic warning message about a stack and line 0 beginning yesterday. What is that?

Anybody else's stack overflowing at line 0? What the heck does that mean?

Well, the stack of bills is overflowing and the bottom line is 0, but I don't think that's what your experiencing. Have you tried re-booting. I haven't seen the error message that your describing...

My machine was really cranky yesterday and I had to re-boot it twice and its feels like a whole new machine!

Actually that is true, but it is a different problem than I was referring to. The message only appears when I am on here and it is happening on both the home and office computers.

I'll tell you, if these dudes don't square this stuff away pretty soon, we are indeed going to move. We were running just fine the last couple of months. Now they've got problems with the Cluster0Slave1 server, and have southern-engineered a kluge to work around it.

That Stack error Edd is talking about seems to be specific to Internet Explorer. Mozilla users aren't seeing it. But there are a lot of people experiencing flaky operation and slow response.

Before we make a decision to move, I want to see what the v. 3.0 board is going to look like when they release it. (That was supposed to be the first half of this year, which is now gone.)

But, like TC, my patience with this bunch is wearing thin. Their only saving grace is that we're getting what we're paying for.

I got the same stack error several times this morning.

Then I saw a nice stack at the gym this afternoon, so all is okay.
I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take this any more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_qgVn-Op7Q

Okay, I put in a bitch to the support forum about it. They acted promptly, and this morning it seems to be resolved.

Post here if you're still having problems with page-load speed or if you're still getting that stack overflow error message.

How's board performance overall, Edd? I bitched about both the slow load speed as well as the stack overflow error.

AFAICT, they're still working on that stack overflow thing. It seems to affect users who are using IE v. 6 mostly. I'm not getting it with FireFox.

Update: Here's what Cerro posted on the Support Forum about the stack overflow error. (Others are getting it too. It happens with IE6 and IE7 both.)

Please run Windows Update as well as upgrade your Adobe Flash player (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/). A stack overflow is being caused by something interacting with your IE intallation.

As far as I know, we do not operate any code on our servers which would do this.

Since I'm not a Windows user, I have no clue what would make the board suddenly start doing this. If you've followed Cerro's instructions and are STILL having this problem, let me know.

Sometimes it is really, really slow, but not this am. So, I need to download something? I never see that stack message, and it continues today, anywhere else than here, but I guess it must be due to something else.
