Appraisers' Free Forum

I just registered today, after reading some posts and the light-hearted manner everyone posts back & forth. I thought it would be nice to at least "hear" what the appraisal business is like since I've been unable to actually join in, cause the truth is, I just finished classes at Tulsa Tech and no one, I repeat, NO ONE, is willing to take me as a trainee. Of a class of 13 original students - nine went on to finish and of the nine, I'm the only one who did not have a certified appraiser waiting to mentor them. The rest of the class either knew someone already or had a friend/family member who would fit the bill. Is the appraisal career inherited? Thanks a bunch yall.

When I came into this business (19 years ago) Tutonline...I found myself in a similar situation that you find yourself in now.

I persevered. It took me 6 months to find a job...hustling everyday.

Have the tenacity of a Pit Bull. Keep going until you get what you want.
